“As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.”
WELCA meets on the second Saturday of each month for Bible Study and current projects in the community.
Please join us Saturday, September 18 at 9am in the Nativity fellowship hall for the 33rd annual SES WELCA Convention, LIVE Streamed. Women of all ages are invited to attend.
We will begin with service with our chaplain, Pastor Karen Boda, followed by a business session, report from Bishop Strickland, and this year, John Moeller, CEO of Inspiritus (formerly Lutheran Services of GA) will be our keynote speaker.
Lunch will be provided from 12-1pm and the afternoon will include 2 workshops, "Cluster Muster" and a Happy Hour if you wish to stay (BYOB). Lunch, snacks, tea and lemonade will be provided.
The convention provides women an opportunity for fellowship and fun with stretching breaks and singing, as well as spiritual growth through Bible Study, workshops, and worship services.
Please join us for this special event!
